Laura Sciaroni is a Bay Area native, and has been in practice with the Orthopaedic Group of San Francisco since 2003. She is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Sciaroni earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz and her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. She completed her residency training in orthopaedic surgery at the University of California, Irvine and completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Lake Tahoe Orthopaedic Institute. Dr. Sciaroni’s practice includes general orthopaedics and sports medicine, with a focus on surgery and rehabilitation of the shoulder and knee. Her research interests have included the biomechanics of anterior shoulder dislocation, and she has published and presented nationally on the topic. Dr. Sciaroni has served as a team physician for Skyline College and is affiliated with the St. Francis Center for Sports Medicine. She holds memberships in the San Francisco Medical Society, Western Orthopedic Association, California Orthopedic Association, California Medical Association, Bay Area Knee Society, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
